Two Parisian electronic music activists and a German house meister meet to get Cellule Eat on its feet and offer a micro-house composition: efficient beats, melodic and “bruitistes” sampling. After a year of hard work in Mainz and Paris, keen in avoiding the minimal boulevard, the three guys invite us in a dancing journey. The warm and funky minibar-style house EP Froggie’s Wurste kicks off in a brilliant way a new series of great releases!

In 2006, Gregorythme released a stunning Cannibale EP on Minibar, with its famous Echolalie lyric, twisted, flying track and Croque Mitaine, a Dachkantine’s favorite. We were looking forward to bring the Minibarian back home, et voilà !
Together with his alter ego Laps, Digitaline is on board… and offers a must-have-EP. 080808, side A, is a 12 minutes pure Digitaline stylistic signature, feelings going crescendo, keeping up with you to take off. It’s a Minibar’s special. Oz factor, side B, is a new refreshment: a drop of mental bend, a peel of cadence, and a river of pace.
They love it !
Zip : … New Minibar = Triplewow!!

Atjazz : This is pretty tastey. I love a bit of minimal but i think this is more, it’s got that imagination thing going on. Quality on all levels. Fave track ‘80808′
Dyed Soundorom : Amazing groove, as usual from Digitaline! Great! Thanks
Patrick Bateman : Digitaline is on a roll at the moment, and Minibar just keep releasing dope tracks. I like both sides!
Los Updates : Both tracks are great… Oz Factor is the one I’m playing… Digitaline always deliver the goods!

Take “Ulip”… three note bassline and chords on top, you can find these elements in so many releases right now. But leave it to Audio Werner to take these elements and turn them into something special. Minibar017 - The Texas Chainsaw Massage EP
A1- Ultrakurt - Trouducteur
A2- Ultrakurt - House à Courre
B1- Ultrakurt - Pwous
- Distributed by wordandsound
- Manufactured by Handle With Care
- Release: 18th MAY 2009
Ultrakurt is back!
Cabanne & Gluck’s amazing cumulated IQ of 42 resulted in that deranged, non-smokable, carved plastic plate called “The Texas Chainsaw Massage e.p.”. No cattle, no hat, but chopped beats, barbecue grooves and corn pads à gogo! With these three new funksters on Minibar, they go further into this weird house music they are well known for…
They love it !
Brothers Vibe: “Kickin’ grooves - SUPER EP!”
Dario Zenker: “Tha real bomb! As all Ultrakurt stuff. Full support!”
Dave Ellesmere: “Minibar getting down on the funk again ! Very nice release”
Gruber & Nürnberg: “House à Courre and Pwous are our favorites, especially Pwous! Next strong Release on Minibar! We’ll play this tracks…”
Hausmann: “I Like Minibar at all so difficult to say which track is the best here, but the mos moody for me is House à courre… keep on ultra KURT!!!! :) Five Stars”
Posivision: “House à Courre : Rhythmical & lovelly staff! Pwous is best for midnight floor!! So cool work.”
Monika Kruse: “Ultrakurt is back!!!! yeah!!! House à courre is the one for me…full support!”
Pheek: “Top sex!”
Raresh: “Diggin all 3 tracks… Like always Minibar satisfy :)”
Seuil: “Love it!!! 3 bombs ass shakers!!! Full support…”
Todd Bodine: “Wow, nice release! 3 funky tunes from Ultrakurt. Trouducteur is the one for me. I will play it.”
Dance Club Portugal/Jose Bello: “Really into the summer upbeat vibes of House à courre. But it’s the long Pwous that gets my pick, like the way Ultrakurt evolved his own trademark sound of short snippets into something like Pwous, with that house edge that is doing the rounds right now but full of twists and turns and surprises for the listener. And that is definitely what keeps music going forward. Ultrakurt did this but kept it dancefloor oriented and that is not an easy thing to do. Kudos!”
Frankie: “Nice quirky funky stuff… Love Pwous will play thanks!”
Paulo Olarte: “Yes!!! Loving this tunes, feels like jumping on marhsmellow clouds :) Will play them for a very long time!”
Matt Star: “Super Release… Habe lang nix mehr von Minibar gehört… House à Courre absolute Bombe!!! Und auch Pwous is super… Merci”
Fredski: “What a lovely deep and funky release.. Full supprt on all three tracks.. I will def play House à courre and Pwous will work great for after hours… Thank you for sending… Peace Out”
3 Channels: “Pwous is cool and House à courre is even better. Thx”

Pit Spector started composing music in Reggae and Jazz bands, playing guitar and piano. He shortly discovered electronic music, following his bro’ steps Ark, who gave him a sampler in one hand, a Herbert record in the other. Fascinated by this kind of composing, he founded Antislash together with John Merrick and Charlie Not Fonk. The group is performing extremely punchy and improvised livesets accross Europe. Pit Spector also writes music and sounds for Ava’s Verden, a more theatrical and noisy show, influenced by Rita Mitsuko, Herbert and Steve Reich.
In his first 12″, on Minibar, he offers a 4 tracker. It’s a unique sound and groove experience, with Antislash remix. It’s about clicks, drums, voice, kicks… exactly as we like ‘em. He takes this opportunity to thank again Ark for passing on his love for music and dance.

B2- Cabanne - f.key (Barbara and John Thomas rmx)
- Distributed by wordandsound

After “keep going” on hello?repeat, Cabanne is back to make the room and refill the minibar. What to say about the tracks !! Definitely house music, but jesse garonne smells like absinthe and cognac mixed together, while f.key would be a mixture of scotch and some good old rhum… the flavor is stupendous and unusual at first but effect is guaranteed for sure, hot dose of deep groove “à ma facon” that brings a crazy, jazzy hot spirits which lifts of the tunes to
the insane!John Thomas and his wife Barbara gave us a crazy f.key remix. A great opportunity, after releasing “Funky Time” on the MilkShake compilation, to bring minibarians a new dose of strong funkster. The hatched sounds and voice brings perfectly the groove…
