Pit Spector started composing music in Reggae and Jazz bands, playing guitar and piano. He shortly discovered electronic music, following his bro’ steps Ark, who gave him a sampler in one hand, a Herbert record in the other. Fascinated by this kind of composing, he founded Antislash together with John Merrick and Charlie Not Fonk. The group is performing extremely punchy and improvised livesets accross Europe. Pit Spector also writes music and sounds for Ava’s Verden, a more theatrical and noisy show, influenced by Rita Mitsuko, Herbert and Steve Reich.

In his first 12″, on Minibar, he offers a 4 tracker. It’s a unique sound and groove experience, with Antislash remix. It’s about clicks, drums, voice, kicks… exactly as we like ‘em. He takes this opportunity to thank again Ark for passing on his love for music and dance.

  • After “keep going” on hello?repeat, Cabanne is back to make the room and refill the minibar. What to say about the tracks !! Definitely house music, but jesse garonne smells like absinthe and cognac mixed together, while f.key would be a mixture of scotch and some good old rhum… the flavor is stupendous and unusual at first but effect is guaranteed for sure, hot dose of deep groove “à ma facon” that brings a crazy, jazzy hot spirits which lifts of the tunes to
    the insane!

John Thomas and his wife Barbara gave us a crazy f.key remix. A great opportunity, after releasing “Funky Time” on the MilkShake compilation, to bring minibarians a new dose of strong funkster. The hatched sounds and voice brings perfectly the groove…

I heared someone say : “these traks are swing gum”…

They love it !

2000 And One (Intacto): “Funky Cabanne always drop the soul into it. Very cool.”
Adultnapper (Audiomatique): “B1 is a great late night dj tool. Will be in the box!”
Laurent Garnier (F-Com): “Pretty cool minimal grooves will try it out (especialy B2)”
Mathias Kaden (Freude Am Tanzen): “The new Minibar from Cabanne is excellent again. I will play this ep a lot… for sure!”
